Bunkers Beach Cafe
We had been driving around Cape Naturaliste, visited the lighthouse and decided that lunch would be a good idea. We saw a sign beside the road advertising this cafe so thought that we would give it a try.
What a find. This cafe is beside the beach, very modern with floor to ceiling windows making the most of the view.
The food was divine. Mike had an incredible dish of seared scallops with broccolini, salsa verde and harissa. Every mouthful was memorable. I ordered a margarita pizza which was lovely but Mikes dish was so spectacular that we in heaven with every bite.
After lunch we ordered a take away coffee and laid on the beach.
What a way to finish an incredible meal.
If you are in the area, make an effort to eat here. I am sure you will not be disappointed.

Wild Saffron
The Wild Saffron became our favourite morning stop for coffee. As well as fantastic coffee and delicious food there is also a wonderful variety of gourmet foods, many of them made from local produce.
They also have a variety of magazines to read while relaxing in their stylish restaurant.

The Bentley Hotel/Motel
We came here for the special roast of the day which is only $9.90.
The interior of the hotel dining room is elegantly decorated, spacious, with a large plasma screen for those who want to watch the sports. There is also a very pleasant outdoor eating area as well.
The meal was served on a large white plate, the lamb was melt in you mouth tender, perfectly baked potato and pumpkin and firm broccoli. The gravy was generously poured on the meat.
This has been the best “cheap” roast meal that we have had. We wished that we had discovered this place earlier instead of our last night in Clare.
This is must for those of you staying in the area.

SA - Port Elliot
Flying Fish Cafe
The Flying Fish is a lovely restaurant right on the beach in the beautiful Port Elliot. One side of the building is a casual sit down and take away restaurant with some of the best fish and chips that we have had on the road. We ate there twice and each time the place was packed. If you are in the area this is a must.
The other side of the building is a dine in licensed restaurant.
